The Qixx Knife Sharpener is simple and easy to use for sharpening and whetting knives, and it can even be used for replacing the edge on a dull knife. The Qixx provides a sharper knife while reducing labor and improving blade life.

The sharpener has two hardmetal "combs" held together by magnets. When the knife blade is pulled through the combs with a light pressure, the grinding or "burs" are trapped by the magnets, thereby reducing the possibility of product contamination by these particles.

The magnets also act as a control, because, if too much pressure is applied to the knife when pulling through the sharpener, the magnets will separate.

When a knife has been sharpened on the Qixx, the geometry of the cutting edge will not change. This means the removal of metal from subsequent sharpening is minimal. The blade edge lasts longer and knife wear is reduced dramatically.

The Qixx is simple to clean, the two halves of the sharpener can easily be separated, rotated 180° relative to each other and washed and sanitized/disinfected.
